12 June 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students from Yering Primary School, Coldstream Primary School, Yarra Glen Primary School, Lilydale Primary School and St Patrick\u2019s Lilydale have had a great time learning about Aboriginal cultural this week through Welcome ceremony dances, storytelling, Aboriginal artwork and marngrook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traditional Owner representative Kai showed students the different echoes of the digeridoo, with a mini corroboree, and gave some tips for how to read Country.\u00a0 Students were able to tell their own story using traditional symbols, and sessions finished with a fun game of Marngrook \u201chot potato\u201d.\u00a0 Session leader Kai was proud to continue his legacy through sharing and teaching the oldest living culture in the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
