Hanging Rock Canopy Rope Bridge Project

Expanding on our ongoing project with Hepburn Shire Council, we are also pleased to announce a similar partnership with Macedon Ranges Council, supported by DELWP’s Storm Recovery funding.

Facilitated by Macedon Ranges Council, we are running a series of canopy rope bridge building workshops for the local community, where people can learn a new skill and contribute to the target of 100m of rope bridge!

The rope bridges will be installed by our arborist team, in close consultation with Council, through key areas of the Hanging Rock Reserve. Bridges will be strategically placed to contribute to the ongoing habitat connection priorities for the Reserve, and to help with storm recovery.

Our first workshop in Gisborne was a roaring success! Participants made more than 15m of bridge, and many said they’d share their new skill, and potentially put bridges up on their own properties!

Keep an eye out on our social media, and that of Macedon Ranges Shire Council, for upcoming workshops!
