Aquatic Surveys, Wombat State Forest

Location: Wombat State Forest, Victoria.

Client: Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA)

ERA was engaged by DEECA to carry out fauna surveys in Wombat State Forest, assessing both the suitability of different habitat types for wildlife, and looking for signs of wildlife (eg. presence of hollows, scats, nests, burrows).

As part of these surveys, ERA recorded any signs such as chimneys and burrows that could indicate the presence of crayfish near rivers and streams and set traps for crayfish in these areas.
