ERA is currently in Darwin attending the 2023 Ecological Society of Restoration Conference – Nature and People as One: Celebrating and Restoring Connection.
The conference encourages restoration specialists from around the world “to consider our own relationship with nature, and the interweaving of human and ecological wellbeing”. Conference topics included restoration monitoring and management in different ecosystems, the importance of Indigenous voices in restoration activities and recent innovations in restoration ecology.
Our Principal Ecologist Dr Jo Isaac presented twice at the conference, firstly on ERA’s rope bridge building community workshop project, and then on our artificial hollow creation project in Wombat State Forest.
The conference was a wonderful opportunity to hear from, and connect, with ecological restoration practitioners from within Australia and around the world.
